Terry J. Kotas

Terry and his wife Heidi began sailing in 1978 and have been live-a-boards for over 30 years, half of those with their daughter, Carly.

Terry's three books are based on the family's travels across the South Pacific, through Mexico, Hawaii and the Galapagos Archipelago.  The stories he tells are more truth than fiction.

The first voyage was aboard Cassiopeia, a Golden Gate 30 sailboat which they built in their backyard from a bare hull.

Currently making plans for their next adventure they, along with their boat cat Rosie, are enjoying Mexico's Sea of Cortez aboard Cetus, the Fantasia 35 sailboat they have called home for over 25 years.
